2. About these Terms
By using this website, downloading free resources, joining the email list, or buying a digital product, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the website or buy digital products from us.
3. Website use
You may use this website and free resources for personal, non-commercial learning. You must not misuse the website, attempt to access private areas without permission, interfere with the website, or use it in a way that violates applicable law.
4. Digital products
We sell digital products only. These may include online courses, downloadable files, written lessons, chord libraries, audio examples, diagrams, templates, or other digital learning resources.
Digital products are delivered by email, download link, login access, course platform access, or another digital delivery method.
5. License and permitted use
When you buy or access a digital product, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to use the material for your own learning.
You may not:
- share, sell, sublicense, or transfer access to another person;
- share your login details;
- copy, republish, upload, resell, or redistribute the material;
- use the material to create a competing product, course, or resource;
- remove copyright notices or ownership information.
6. Payments, prices, and taxes
Prices are shown on the website or at checkout. Taxes, VAT, and other charges may be included or added depending on your location and the checkout provider.
Payments are handled by Stripe. Their terms and privacy policy may also apply to the payment process.
7. Access after purchase
After purchase, you will receive access instructions by email, download link, login page, or the relevant digital-product platform.
You are responsible for entering a correct email address and keeping your access details secure.
8. Refunds and right of withdrawal
Unless otherwise stated on the product page, sales page, or checkout page, all sales of digital products are final and non-refundable.
This does not limit any mandatory consumer rights that apply in your country.
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases. For digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium, this right may be lost once performance begins, if you have expressly consented to immediate access and acknowledged that this means losing the right of withdrawal.
To make this clear at checkout, we may require you to confirm that you want immediate access to the digital product and that you understand this may affect your right of withdrawal.
If a refund is specifically offered for a product, the terms of that refund will be stated on the relevant product page, sales page, or checkout page.
For refund or access questions, contact marcus@opentuningguitarist.com.
9. Technical problems
If you cannot access a digital product because of a technical problem, contact us so we can try to fix the issue. We may ask for information needed to identify your order and troubleshoot the problem.
10. Educational content
The content is provided for music education and personal learning. Results vary depending on your practice, experience, instrument, setup, and use of the material.
11. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, all original website text, course material, diagrams, audio examples, graphics, downloads, branding, and other original content are owned by or licensed to The Open~Tuning Guitarist or its operator.
Artist names, song titles, trademarks, and third-party resources belong to their respective owners.
12. External links
The website may link to third-party websites, including tab/chord sites, YouTube, payment providers, email providers, or digital-product platforms. We are not responsible for third-party websites, content, terms, privacy practices, or availability.
13. Availability
We aim to keep the website and digital-product access available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, provider outages, technical issues, or changes to the service.
14. Account termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, misuse the material, share access, attempt unauthorized access, or use the website or products unlawfully.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special losses arising from your use of the website, free resources, or digital products.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited under applicable consumer law.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the website, digital products, checkout process, or legal requirements change. The latest version will be posted on this page.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, unless mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country give you additional rights.
